Fly996 and I have never met, but this weekend his car was in my driveway. We are both very close with a mutual friend, who posts as MPowerM3 here on 6speed, and he brought Fly's car up to the house for a thorough washing on Friday in preparation for the Holiday weekend.

When he left, I followed with the camera gear.

I just had to.





















Thoughts on the car, after now having substantial good seat time in our Cab - It's loud. And, once it gets into its powerband, it's fast. It does seem to have sacrificed some low end, and perhaps a bit of midrange for what amounts to serious high RPM wail. Driven correctly, it is one seriously formidable car. I should also be mentioned that the car stops traffic as not one but two drivers began wandering lanes watching his car go by, instead of the road ahead.

And it's loud. Did I mention that? I swear I could hear the thing coming a good quarter mile before it came into view.

Congrats on the car, Fly. It's stupid fresh. I'm talking word up on the hype tip with a side of dope nuggets.

 

that wing/wheel color combo are sick! Nice car!

 

I like the car, just not feelin those tips tho... would look great with a big brake upgrade as those calipers and rotors look so tiny in those big rims.

Thanks again Rich I really appreciated it. I knew how much Chris had wanted a chance to see the power gains as he was looking to possibly make some changes on the cab.

How many coats of paint were put on the tail lights? I was thinking of going with two coats of the translucent paint on the tail lights

I used 3-4 coats VHT Nightshades spray tint then 5-6 coats of rattle can clearcoat. I'm planning on redoing the clear using a spray gun which should give a higher gloss/shine.
