I was looking up performance parts for my 3.4 L 996 and came across this intake part. The dyno shows a big increase. Anyone ever use on e of these? What does a stock on look like? I am assuming the stock one it like a "T" and not smooth flowing like these shown?

If it works, it seems like a good way to get more power. Or is this just marketing???

 

Do a search here, on Rennlist.com and Renntech.org. These have been discussed again and again and again. Some people swear by them, but third party testing semed to show minimal gains.

4hp peak on my 3.6, though with small but consistent gains throughout the power band, particularly midrange to lower top end. If I can find my b/a dyno I'll post it. I would recommend it. Still one of the best mods for my car next to my SPEC lw flywheel/clutch and Fabspeed header/JIC exhaust combo (in order of seat of the pants difference) Come to think about it, that's about all you can do for measurable gains.... I haven't bought an intake system yet, which is another much-disputed topic. I'm using a drop in the box BMC and it seems to work well.
