Without question. I upgraded my Boxster S from factory struts to JRZ coilovers. The car now has so much grip and stability that I can't even come close to the car's limits on public roads.

I put PSS10's on my 03 cab. The ride quality and handling are greatly improved. They are firmer in the curves and dips but more compliant over bumps and eliminate the float and bob of the factory struts. I am getting ready to upgrade to H&R sway bars to complete the transformation. The improved looks of the lowered suspension is a added bonus. Best Mod I have made so far.

I vary my settings from 6-7 in the front and 8-9 in the rear.

Everyone here seems to think you want to build a 24hr of Rolex winning car. Tell us what are your intentions...
A) I dunno stock feels soft and I want to drop it like it's hot so it looks cooler. But don't rattle my teeth.
B) Better/firmer/more communicative suspension for some spirited back roads
C) I want to autox and win
D) I want to do DE's and have the car handle better
E) I am building a race car to compete in class X series Y and want to win

Agree on the anti sway bars.. A very good first move for not a lot of money.
You have stock
Could go to factory M030 (aka sports suspension)
Then H&R
Then GT3
Then a set like TPC, TRG, etc as used on race cars.

JRZ's are your best coilover option if your budget allows for it. All 3 Porsches that won GT class at this year's 24 Hours at Daytona were all equipped with JRZ. In 2007 the winning car had JRZ and in 2006 when we won, we used our JRZ's. TPCRacing is also the US Distributor for JRZ suspension systems, and we would be more than happy to discuss suspension options with you.
However, before you even consider a set of coilovers, the first suspension modification you do should be a set of adjustable sway bars. Our TPCRacing ProSeries Adjustable Sway Bars will provide you with far more stability and will allow you to comfortably carry more speed all the way through the turn. They do this by keeping the car flatter while turning to provide the tires with a greater contact patch. No problem. I will try and get some posted tomorrow. I have the OEM turbo front bumper with the factory Carrera side skirts and rear wing. I also have a modified factory rear bumper awaiting install.
