Arctec MK Dynamics - Opinions?

Hi all,

I've been a lurker here for quite some time and consider myself still rather new to the Porsche experience. Also been sucking up all the info. and *unique personallities* here on the forums. You guys are quite a crowd.

Anyhow... I'd like to get some thoughts and opinions on these new(?) ARTEC - MK Dynamics in 19". The wheel's manufacture link points to http://www.rh-wheels.com ... so I'm assuming that ARTEC is an RH company?

1] Quality? How would these 3-piece compare in quality with the forum populars - HRE, iForge, etc.

2] Weight? My 02 C2 Cab. is currently riding on stock 10-Spoke wheels (http://www.wheelenhancement.com/inde...88b4128250de08). I'm concerned if these would cause unsprung weight.

3] Tire Size? What would be the recommended tire size and maker if my main concerned is to achieve the perfect balance between - most comfortable ride and best handling... without the need for mods (suspension, rolling fenders, spacers, etc..) and not compromising any of the p-cars performance and suspension design. (I understand that naturally any mods would change the dynamics of the p-car, but good (or the right) change is what I'm trying to get at). I will not be tracking the car, at least not with 19's.

Looks like the forum favs are Conti's and Mich's PS2... what about TireRack's BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW 2 or Yoko AVS?

Wheel size:
Fronts - 8 x 19 ......... with 235/35/19
Rears - 10.5 x 19 ..... with 295/30/19

Any opinion/advise would be appreciative.

pretty good looking wheels. but look kind of generic IMHO.
go with HREs. They are good quality and you will be able to resell them if needed. There is more moarket for used HREs and BBS.

I should have called this thread "NEWBIE, WELCOME ME"........ I would have gotten at least a dozen of replies by now...

Thx for the reply RAJA... I was also interest in the quality of these wheels, but looks like GMP Performance carry these and are retailed for $3700+.

I also found some info online and the company's website. Artec's from Germany and seems like they are somehow related to RH Wheels. Now unless RH make cheap wheels, these shouldn't be too bad (also considering the retail price above). Here's a link to their site with the wheels on a C2 & TT:

(interesting how their site design is identical to RH's)
