Clutch wears fast?

Its been about 10K miles since I have noticed a bug decrease in the crispness of the clutch catching. at around 5K mi, the clutch seemed to catch very well, and now at about 16K mi, it seems like the catch point for the clutch is different, somewhat sloppy or not as quick. Is that normal? Well, given that I'm an average driver, not great, but also not terrible. Just seems like there is a big difference in clutch feel over a short amount of time.
