How to tell if 1999 Cab had engine replacement?

was wondering if anyone knows how to determine if a engine was replaced on a 1999 C2 cab

Talk to your dealer, or
Check your engine serial number. Between the set of numbers if you find AT in the engine number it stands for "AUS TAUSCH" which is "EXCHANGE".
I too have a replacement engine. I found this info over at RennTech.
Somewhere in all of my searches I found where people had listed their engine numbers and replacement dates. So I am guessing at when my engine was replaced too.
