Looking for suggestions. Should I sell my 996?

Yep, $40k (or less) is probably more realistic which may or may not affect your decision.

Look at it this way, it's not like it's a used car that 'who knows 'put 50k miles on it. You are the only one that's ever driven it, farted in it, you've maintained it. It is a known quantity, a lot of guys can't say that. Keep the porsche, play with it, track it, enjoy it. If it breaks, fix it.
Dump the italian car, and you'll have plenty of cash, and still have a world class sports car. Besides with that kind of milage, you will never get what it's worth and any mods you've done will make it that much worse, just my .02!

I sold my 996 right before the 997 came out. I got $42.5 for my 99. Selling it sucks but it was the best thing to do. I had to do it before the market really dropped. My 911 race car gets alot more attention now. I'm saving for the 997 now.

That was a good price for the sale, I looked at "99 cabs for around forty.
