New 996 owner! Wanted to share a few pictuers!

I just picked up a 1999 Porsche 911 6 speed with a gt3 aero kit up from Texas a few days ago and drove it all the way back to Wisconsin. I must say, the car is amazing!!!! The handling, the braking, the entire feel of the car is unlike anything else I've ever driven!!! Its my first porsche and I'm loving the experience already. Its quite a different driving experience from my Toyota Supra Turbo that I own and is pretty much better in every category except the straight line where HP is a key factor.

As for modifications, this has quite a few. BBS 2 piece wheels with Pilot sport ps2 tires, 225 up front, 315's out back, H&R springs, Euro tails, side markers, and headlights, fabspeed headers running to Fabspeed muffler bypass pipes with 4.5" tips, fabspeed intake, ecu chip, gt3 console delete, silver faced gauges.

I'm looking to supercharge this car over the winter. I'm trying to find information on what parts I will need to do this and where I can buy them. If anybody knows any information on this, please let me know!

Let me know what you guys think!

Car looks nice and clean. I hope you got a good deal on it! Awesome to buy and drive that far! Color combo is sweet, and the wheels are a nice touch.

But, I think that GT3 badge should go - and the license plate should go back on the car it came from. [U.S. Porsche guys will be able to quickly point out those headlights + GT3 badge don't go together.]

Nice looking car! Welcome!

You might want to research the H&R springs with stock shocks/struts. There's a lot of people on Rennlist that say lowering with just springs will kill the shocks very quickly (they say 5K miles) and mess up the handling. It's annoying that these people that design shocks can't find a way to make them work at all ranges of their travel.

I agree on removing the GT3 badge but two MKI GT3's are in the U.S. I've passed both of them during PCA races in my 993...

Nice car. Congrats. There are two supercharging options:
http://www.vf-engineering.com/
and
http://www.tpcracing.us/
Don't know if TPC has updated their website, but there is a 2nd version of their blower setup that is closer to the performance of VFs kit.

Keep us informed on your SC project!

Thanks for the links!!! I think both kits look really similar....After speaking with VF, seems their kit would be a little better choice for me. I think its pretty incredible that they're staying the stock clutch will hold this power, guess we'll find out.

yeah.....when you have over 150k into something, it makes it hard to go all out on another car....

I'm not after the speed with this car. I have that with my supra that makes over 1000hp to the tires. I'm looking for a quick, responsive, great handling car and thats why I chose to buy a porsche. I think with a supercharger kit, this car would be great on a road course! And a fraction of a cost of a TT

The username is for future AMBITION....some day, I'll own one.

In the meantime, can anybody tell me where I can get an actual gt3 front bumper and if it will have a direct fit?
