MAF question

This may or may not be bad MAF...need opinions!!

I have an EVOM CAI as well as some other mods and although I never much paid attention to this I'm wondering if it is normal or something needs to be fixed.
Someone once told me that when you want to accelerate quickly in these cars, you should "squeeze" the pedal down not "mash" it to the floor.
When I "squeeze" it down, the speed just builds and builds and it is great.
However if I try and "mash" it to the floor, it totally "bogs" down and accelerates, but slowly. The intake is making a nice sucking sound but I wonder whether the MAF is not picking up the WOT air flow and not compensating with much more fuel as it should.

Any thoughts...can you guys "mash" it to the floor and it just starts to sprint?

Do you have a CEL?

Try disconecting your battery for a minute to re read the new air flow from your new cold air intake.....

I had the K&N and had nothing but problem with my MAF. Changed out my MAF and put back the stock air filter.....no problem since.

no CEL and actually I have had the CAI for over 3 years. Silly as it sounds, I just never stomped the gas pedal to the floor.....I always "squeezed it down".
If you stomp the pedal to the floor on yours, does it instantly pick up? (assuming that you are above 3000 rpm)

Just feel I need to put in a word of caution here to potential EVOMS V-Flow guys, comparing this intake anywhere in the same thread as the K&N complete Cold Air Intake isn't remotely close to apples to apples. The Evolution unit works great and has provided years of use for most guys without trouble. The K&N unit, however, has had its share of problems. This only seems to be true for the complete intake from them - If you just use their filter in the stock box and are sure to thoroughly clean it before dropping it in, there seems to be few reports of C.E.L. trouble. End HiJack.

I had nothing but problems with my intake since i put it in. I'm pretty sure it was from the oiled filter since then i have changed to the AEM Oil-less filter and all has been good for a few months now. No CEL or Bogging
