2 Questions

I have questions about the 996's power curve and about lsd's.

-My 996 has a cold air intake but is otherwise stock, at 5000rpm there seems to be a massive jump in power, is this normal?

- I am curious if my car has a lsd. I know the rear engine layout gives it alot more grip, but even in the rain I get virtualy 0 wheel spin under full throttle. Is this just normal because of the weight distribution or is it a possibility I have a lsd? Was it an option in 99'?

Thanks in advance,
Pierce

Hey Pierce!
The jump in power that you feel is the Variocam kicking in that changes the profile of the cam/valve interation and gives that boost you feel right up to the redline.
LSD was an option on '99 models and it is hard to get wheelspin because of the engine sitting over the axles!! You can look under the middle of the front hood for the production sticker of the car and the options are listed on it. You can then look them up to see what you have.
