Porsche's AS Daily Drivers?
How many times do you gents drive your p-car weekly?
I know there are people who use 'em as their daily driver, but I'm just wondering how many times a week should I drive it so that the battery doesn't go bad, or so I've heard. I only drive mine once a week.
I've been pretty happy driving my '91 Accord. Haha.

I toggle between my BMW and Porsche. There are some weeks I don't drive it at all and some weeks that I drive it almost everyday. It depends on the feeling I get when I step outside and also the weather.
You live in L.A. and don't drive your 911 everyday?
I drive mine all year round. I put snow tires on in the winter and it handles the snow with ease. With your good weather all year round, you should have no problem driving any Porsche everyday.

My C2 Cabrio is one of 3 cars in our household. I drive it nearly everyday from April through November. I have the top down as long as it is not raining. I put about 3000 miles on per year

Yup, that's exactly what I do, "toggle" between cars. I've got a TechArt C4S, Gemballa 986 S, and Chalon 914 that I use for the daily drive and weekend drives. I try to put more miles on the 914 as it's my "beater" and the least miles on the C4S. However, I try to drive each regularly to just use the damn things and keep them running well. I also use the weather and temperature to determine which I pick to drive. My Box has a few carbon fiber bits, so I don't drive it when we have intense 114 degree days as the UV will ruin the carbon fiber epoxy coating.

I promised myself when I bought this car (99 996) that it would not become a garage queen like some of my other cars. So I drive it to work everyday, up and down the sometimes stop and go LA freeways, and I LOVE every minute we're together! About 50 miles/day of good times! Mileage isn't the best (I'm getting around 19 mpg) but the enjoyment of driving a P-Car and not an eco-box more that makes up for the difference!!

That's why I started the thread. Was wondering how many times a week to drive my p-car to keep it running in a well-maintained condition.

Yes sir!

Same. Mileage on my p-car is beastly! But it doesn't really concern me because the enjoyment and satisfaction of driving it is all I need!

If you drive it once a week, the car should be fine.
As for myself, I drive my 996 C4S daily and it runs without any problems. Living in Vegas, it usually doesn't get to see colder weather, but when we had a snowstorm last December it ran like a champ even on summer tires (thanks 4-wheel drive). A lot of other makes got stuck and where parked on the side of the road

That is a good idea though; I may get a battery tender sent to the place I am storing it...
