Looking for advice on performance shops.

I have a 3.4 996 conversion boxster and am looking for some more power(well who isn't!!). I spoke with Motormeister and they seemed to have some very good ideas, but further research brought out some very unhappy customers. Anyone reading this have first hand experience with them-good or bad?

What are the best shops in the SF bay area?
thanks, John
