Am I the only pain in the butt?

My 2004 996 c4s seat cause me a pain on the outside of my right butt, there appears to be a piece of the metal frame that I can feel in this area. I have removed the seat and tried to repad the area, but this is not possible without removing the seat leather (which obviously I do not want to do)

Does anyboy else have this problem? or do I have a "defective seat"

If I am alone, I may try to get a new seat bottom from porsche under the warrenty

butt pain

Don...sounds like your wallet is to big, nice problem to have
My seats grind me in the right side, lower back area, seats are a bit narrow,it gets better as you break them in,not the greatest seats overall though.

I have no trouble with my seats in the C4S Cab. Supple leather, full lumbar, heated, full power. Sounds to me like a defective seat. Have a few others sit in it and see what they think.

I had this on an '88 560 SL once. They had to remove and replace the seat for me. Drove 3 hours and felt like someone shot me in the cheek with a .22. Got a new seat. Still not great, but better. Benz never had great cushions back then.

Nope. I carry wallet in left rear pocket, but NEVER while seated.

I broke my back water skiing in college, and had terrible sciatic nerve damage and pain. As a result, I never put my wallet back there again. Surgery corrected the lower back when I was 22, but the habit never left me. Wallet is hardly ever in the back pocket now.

Mine is usually in the right pocket. That's why I don't sit or standup straight, body bends toward the right. That's also why my launches are usually mis-timed

Do you have a manual or power seat? Do you keep the seat in the lowest position?

I find on my '02 C2 with power seats that I can feel some hard bumps if the seat is fully lowered. If I raise it just slightly, those bumps go away.
