bulbs for litronics?

Hello everyone. I am a newbie here and I haven't had the chance to introduce myself yet nor posted pics of my newly-acquired C2 Cab. I do have a question to ask. Yes, I've searched and I came up with hardly any answers at all.

My car came with litronics and I need to know what bulbs are in there. I checked the owner's manual and all I see there are info for the halogen-type headlights. When I checked some sites that sells bulbs for the 996, H3 is listed down as one of them. When I looked into my headlights, I do not see any H3s in there. But I do see what looks like H7s in the foglights and high beams. It is also listed in the owner's manual that the parking light within the headlamp assembly (or some might call it city lights) use W5W, in other words, 194. When I peeked into my headlamps, they don't look anything like 194s and they seem to be brighter than 194s. So, I am really confused now.

After searching, one thread had mentioned that the parking/city lights use H6W and another thread mentioned H7s for the high beams.

Therefore, I would like to ask the experts here exactly what bulbs are used in a 996 litronics headlamp assembly. Specifically, the early 996 litronics (boxster headlights).

HIDs = ???
High Beams = H7?
Fog Lights = H7?
Park/City Lights = H6W?

TIA for any help and info.

Hey there, sounds like you got most of that list spot on! If I remember correctly, since I just recently upgraded all of my bulbs, the Low beam litronic/hid bulb is a D2S.. The high beam and fogs are H7. The city/parking light is a BAX9 H6W.

The W5W/194 that you mentioned is for the non-litronic headlamps... their parking/city light uses that different type.

Hope this helps!

Chaud, where did you get your front bumper front? And is it fiberglass? And do notice any ripples in it? Thanks

One more question. On the D2S that Porsche used as OEM, would anyone happen to know exactly what the color is? It looks like 4500k to me. And they are 35W, correct?
