sorry for the ignorant question, but if you don't hit this button does it just go back to the first digit of the code and blink at you?

 

Thanks for the advice above on how to get your serial number without pulling the radio. I called the dealer I have bought some parts from in California and the guy I bought my parts from gave me the code. In my case, I had to hit the up arrow on the tuner to "enter" the code. All is well again in Porscheland.
