C4S Wheel Spacers for Techart Formula GTS ???
C4S Wheel Spacers for Techart Formula GTS ???
I have a set of 19"x11" Techart Formula wheels on the rear of my '02 C4S. Compared to the stock wheels, the Techart's are seated inside the wheel fender a little bit. The offset on the Techart rear wheels is 52mm. I don't 'need' spacers to drive with them, but adding spacers would have them stick out flush with the quarter panel when viewed for aesthetics.
My question is if anyone knows exactly how much of a spacer/wheel adapter would I need or get away with on my C4S with the 19"x11" Techart's having a 52 mm offset in the rear?
Any help is appreciated. Also, if anyone could tell me where to get a quality set of spacers or where to stay away from that would help too.
Thanks

The ones you have now are actually for the narrow body, I am suprised they fit your 4S without spacers! The techart rears that are designed for a 4S have an offset of 25. You'll need a 25-27mm spacer depending on your suspension settings and your car ride height. I would recommend getting your rear fenders rolled in the future if you are planning to run the wheels all the way out. Hope this helps
what's up with the orange wheels? Let's see a larger pic!

I never knew this when I bought them. The guy told me they were for TT & 4S and that they would fit. I am running 315/25/19" tires on them and the clearance on the inside splash shield is about 1/4" ... so it's very close. I am just unhappy with the appearance of the wheels sitting 'in' too much. The suspension is just the stock 4S stuff. I have not lowered it and wouldn't want to. Do you know what spacer would work without having to roll the fenders? I see Ebay has the "HR" brand hubs with bolts, not sure if these are good quality or not for around $150-$250.
I had the orange wheels refinished in Carrera RS orange because I was going to do the whole car with that theme, but changed my mind about painting the fascia inlets, mirrors, etc. I figured, for resale purposes, I would be narrowing the market of people who would be interested when I do sell to upgrade. I attached 2 pictures of the car and the rim with them on. I am thinking of refinishing them again back to silver over the winter now that my car is in storage. Not quite sure what to do???

yep, H&R makes very good quality items. you can use a wheel spacer or wheel adapter (i use the wheel adapter). stick with a 21-24mm and you should be fine
the TechArt wheels designed for the 4S are VERY aggressive looking and def come out all the way flush with the fenders (more flush / stick out more than stock) i love the way my TechArts look on my car. just be aware it's a general rule that if you're car is lowered and you're running TechArt wheels, almost always mean you have to roll your rear fenders
if you're interested, i have 2 spare silver TechArt wheels with the 25mm offset that i can sell. i have them as spares but since i don't even run my TechArt wheels anymore, i can sell them. (i run gt2 wheels now)

to give you an idea, this is how the wheels should look without spacers (rear offset 25mm) if you have the widebody correct offset wheels for you 4S, notice how the rear wheel is almost sticking out in more than the body near the bottom area
Yes, yours looks very sharp looking with the fitment. Mine, when viewed from the same angle, are tucked inside more. From a side view the car looks fine, but when I view mine on an angle from the front or rear it just looks 'off'. I appreciate the offer to buy the correct offset rears you have, but I don't want any more wheels, I still have my stock set. I think I will spend the money on HR spacers and hope the appearance will look normal.
Thanks for your help
