Stepping into a C4S!

Alright, so I just got back from a dealer where I saw a 2002 C4S with 18k miles. It's CPO and in great condition. I took out for a spin and couldn't get off my face!

They're asking 40,000 and from what I've seen this is pretty reasonable for a low mileage CPO C4S. I think I'm gonna jump on it.

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Not a bad price, but you should always offer a little less than asking price, they expect it.

I went to my local dealer in may 2003 and test drove a C4S right off the showroom floor.
Took it out on the highway and accelerated to 120 mph and I'll never forget the smile on my face.
The car blew my mind.
Went back to the dealer the next week and ordered the car.
I've driven the car solo with the PCA @ Sebring and other South Florida tracks many many times.
Now I live in Utah and am enjoying the heck out of the car on mountain roads.
Buy the car...you will never regret it.

even though its cpo i would still get a thorough ppi and dme report

good luck and enjoy, its a wonderful car with a great following

its a buyers market right now, make sure you get them to lower the price some, i very much doubt they are expecting someone to pay sticker for it

Just got back from the dealer with my 1 year old C4S. It is speed yellow, cabriolet, Tiptronic, with almost all the options, minus x51 and Navigation. It has yellow accent interior stitching on the entire black leather interior with supple leather seats. It only has 2400 miles and feels and smells like brand new. There is not a scratch or scuff anywhere on the car. It has the invisible plastic sheild bra on the front bumper, hood and side mirrors. And I only paid $94,000 for it!! What a bargain.

Oh! How time flies!
And I still love the car now, with 33K miles and still not a scratch or scuff on the car (except for the windsheild). No engine problems, only a few minor electrical problems ( oil pressure sender, heated seat regulator and an ECU reprogram). All maintenance done by dealer and a very good independent. Change oil and filter and air filter every 5K.

Picked up a CPOed 04 C4S Cab with the X51 option for mid-40's over the last weekend. What the dealer wants in your case seems a tad too high - make sure that you put in an offer accordingly. It is a buyers market out there - dealers are definitely looking to move cars in a hurry.

i Love mine, i would never buy a rear wheel, every again, i just was out today and was pulling through a turn at 138 almost 140 mph. It was crazy.... nobody was around and had a open stretch. The awd system is fantastic, you dont realize what your missing until you experience it.... trust me, work out the price and like Nike says "just do it"

sounds like a clean car however $40k seems a bit high considering todays market.Have you tried Hemmings?

40k isn't bad, I picked up an 02 with 30k miles for 34k 8 months ago.

Keep in mind that this is an enthusiast site, we expect to buy things at a better price since we know what the market will bare. You can sell almost any Porsche on this site to a non-member for about 2-4k more without a problem.

The market is soft right now and it's all on the buyer, if you can't get them to give you a break on the price, have them toss in a couple of free oil changes, or a service. You can get away with it cause you're the one writing the check.

Wow, the prices on these are really getting reasonable. Gonna have to upgrade. The verts are still really expensive though. What gives there?
