Whats the difference between exhaust on01 911

I recently purchased an 01 911 cabrio with the tiptronic transmission. The left side muffler has a loose baffle causing a loud irratating rattle. I found a used stock muffler and called a porsche dealer to make sure that there was no difference between the manual and tiptronic and they told me there were two different part #'s for these mufflers but could'nt tell what the difference was or if they would bolt up without any problems. Does anyone know what it is and if anyone is selling an oem muffler at a reasonable price I'm interested as I passed on the original muffler, my email is crgrantom@yahoo.com. thanks.

Now would be a good time to upgrade to after market mufflers, fabspeed, billyboat, etc.

IIRC any of the 996 mufflers will work, but you will need to change the mounting bracket. I did this a number of times on my old car - and it's pretty straightforward/easy once you get the muffler off. There have been a number of threads on Rennlist on how to do this, including pics.
