brake feeling

hello all; im new on the Porsche family and I have a simple question.

I just bought a pre-owned 996 C4. It is a 2002 w/30,000 miles on it. Very well maintained.

My question is based on the brake feeling on the pedal. The car stops well and seems all good but it is that you have to really push so hard to get all stopping power? Somehow seems that the pedal is so strong. Like a race car brake. Is that the normal feeling that a C4 has? Or it might be something with pads/fluid?

please advice. Thank you!

Congrats on the purchase...

Perfectly normal, Porsche brakes are amazing, a completely progressive feel, allows for trail braking through corners and serious stopping power when needed. Just be carefull when swapping back into a 'normal' servo assisted car...
