Cool GT3 Wing Question....

I have a 2004 40th Anniversary 996. I initially wanted a 2004 GT3, but I decided on the 40th 996 instead. For street use, I thought it had a better ride, PSM, insulation and sound proofing, and back seats! It also has the GT silver color and sideskirts, and a turbo front bumper standard. As a result, it looks almost exactly like a GT3. NEVERTHELESS, it looks NAKED without a rear WING...so, I'm considering a GT3 wing. I've seen the ones at GT3TEK (aka better bodies motorsports), precision porsche, and Mashaw. Not really a Taco wing guy. Could anyone provide me some advice on a good quality manufacturer and any other suggestions that might help? I've also noticed that they are all fiberglass and not polyurethane. Any comments would be greatly appreciated before I open my wallet. Thanks.

I've never understood why Porsche paired the Turbo bumper with the GT3 side skirts on the 40th. They don't go together very well IMO. Don't get me wrong, I like the 40th. I think it's the best 996 NA car barring the GT3.

Well 15psi is hinting he has one for sale, but otherwise go to mashaw. He has one for $1,395 I believe, and a good reputation. They are all fiberglass including OEM.

The GT3 wing will look good and it's also lighter because it replaces the entire lid. I'm not sure if my factory unit is fiberglass or fiberglass reinforced plastic, the other option would be a carbon fiber GT3RS blade. There's also the Cab wing, if you want something more subtle.

Thanks for the great pics! I like the cab wing to.....but I may be able to get a GT3 wing for a very good price. The cab wing would cost me more than double! Since the 40th is very clsoe to he gt3, I just thought it made more sense. I think I'll put a Carrera tag on the deck if I do. I've also since learned that there are only 2 front lip spoilers make for a Turbo bumper....the GTR and the RUF. I like he GTR personally.

I like how this lip picks up the line from the side skirt. Unfortunately, I don't know who the manufacture is.

It looks like the RUF front spoiler, but without a direct on front view its hard to tell. Sure appears like a gt3 lip front this angle though and if that's true, I don't know how they got it to fit. Thx.

I think the lip that I suggested is a Gemballa piece.

Finally got it figured out. I'm getting an OEM aftermarket Turbo front lip spoiler...not the Turbo Aero one. Bayson motorsports on eBay on sale for $99 + $30 shipping. I found out about it from the Turbo forum guys. The lines should look good with the gt3 siderails. I'll paint it.
