Laser Jammer Install

Just Bought Bel LaserPro 904 Laser Defense System very similar to Escort shifter ZR3. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...me=STRK:MEWN:IT

There are 2 exterior-mounted front Laser modules, 1 rear-mounted Laser sensor, and a Control Panel that mounts under or in-dash .

Any suggestions or tips on install.

Laser jammers do not work! They only work when the conditions are right such as in a laboratory. Take it back and get your money back. It is the snake oil of modern technology.

I thought the same thing. I recently got a speeding ticket in a laser trap. When my Bel 985 went off, I was already nailed.

I did some research and this review convinced me that laser jammers do offer some protection.

SOME LASER Jammers work, the majority do not.

The ZR3 does work and I can testify to the fact.

I was motoring down I-5 doing about 75 in a 60 when I hear the startling LASER alarm from my X50. Bam, on the brakes and see the "shifting" alert in the X50 (indicating it is shifting the LASER).

I see the motorcyclye cop off to the side hiding in the bushes. He looks at his gun, then loooks at me, then back at his gun like WTF? and I motor by at 60 MPH. No ticket thank you very much.

I am a believer! I have also reviewed many articles and test data and the data looks pretty convincing to me.

a while ago, the british show Fifth Gear tested jammers, and they seemed to work. The guy stressed they needed to be installed perfectly horizontal.
It's definitely interesting!

I always thought that jammers were a crock of sh%t, I don't buy into the manufactures claims. You're best off with a good radar detector and common sense.

Jammers do work, but only for Laser. Yes there are some radar jammers but if you get caught with those you are looking at some serious time, and serious fines from the FCC. Lasers are a part of the FDA and don't have as many rules as does radar. The only gun out today that will tell the officer that it is being jammed is The Stalker Lidar (Laser).

And what are your chances that your car will be perfectly horizontal when you are driving and the cop nails you?

Depending on the cost of a jammer, the 0,01% of time it is horizontal may be worth it!
Up here, even detectors are forbidden anyways ... doh!

i have the passport/escort srx... i think it works. it save my butt many times. laser/radar goes off , have enough time to hit the brakes to slow down to w/ in speed limits.

rear radar/laser detector is mounted above the lic plate.
tuck away in front bumper. left side: radar detector
Center and behind the bumper: radar/laser difuser
right side: laser detector.

The ZR3 LASER shifter has two front sensors and one rear sensor. The front sensors are discreetly located in the front grill and the rear sensor is located at the top of the license plate. It is integrated with the X50 unit via a small hidden control box. All alerts are directed to the X50 display which I have mounted low on the dash.

The requirement to remain parallel is only for the install. The sensors must be level and parallel to the road. After that as long as your car is on a road, it will remain parallel enough to operate normally.

All I can say, I believe it works and has saved me at least once. The Washing State Patrol are all armed with LASER. It did not make sense to have a warning system. All it would do is tell me I just got a ticket. This provides me with an Electronic Counter-Measure (ECM) function that HELPS keep me out of trouble.
