Oil Sender

I searched the forum to find that many oil senders are replaced when they only need to have the connections cleaned and dielectric grease applied. I was experiencing this failure 2-3 times daily and ordered a new sender. However, before I put on the new sender I cleaned the connections and applied the grease. The connections weren't really even dirty, but I did apply the grease liberally. I also presume that the dealer detailed the engine and degreaser made it's way to foul up the connection. It has now been 10 days without failure. I believe this to be an accurate assumption, and would recommend this treatment before part replacement. Hope this helps others.
