Had an odd thing happen today. I have a VW Jetta GLI and spend some time on VWVortex. I have been considering a NAV for it. Was talking to this guy and asked what was included for the previously arranged price of $700. I asked if the CD's were there and harness etc. He got beligerant and said because I drive a Porsche and own a business I shouldn't try to "lowball" him. First off I was just asking what was included and second just cuz I have a Porsche doesn't mean I throw money away.

Went to a Goodyear dealer near my house to put on my sport tips. At first he said about $40. Then I came back with my porsche the guy more than doubled the price. When I asked why, he said cause it's a porsche. I left and went to a different guy who did it for free in exchange for my old tips. I did tip his mechanic $20 for the effort. At first the employee wouldn't take it then his boss said it was OK and he did take it. I'd rather wait and go to someone honest. It is not the money, I hate being ripped off or taken advantage of.

Yep, happened this weekend....

I went to have the car "hand" washed since it was about 20-30 degrees.

Price on the front $7.99, for a wash exterior only(My son was in the car, saturday is Karate day, and I wasn't having him get out of the car).

Well I went up to pay and was told 9.99+tx. I said I thought it was 7.99, she said well you have a porsche and they charge more for them. I said you should charge less, since it's a small car. First time there since my boxster, which I didn't pay extra for.

I paid the 10 bucks as the guys do a good job washing and wouldn't mind the extra money if it went to the workers(it was cold out), but I was a little ticked.

 

Only when I bought it.

 

Went out to Hollywood clubbing once. Got charged more at the parking lot by the attandent then the friend with a camary. Did'nt find out till the next day.........
