anyone have any experience with thier bumpers and wings??

 

I do... front and rear bumper covers and side rockers... all fiberglass, but my body shop did a great job and some of the things you hear about fiberglass didn't happen and weren't an issue...

I bought a GT3Tek kit from them. I kept the side rockers(polyurethane) and GT3 bolt on Wing( fiberglass). I ended up buying a 997 GT3 bumper from NR Auto for my 99 Coupe and turned out awesome!

 

GT3Tek is the same company as betterbodies. It is their poly division, as explained to me by Armando who, I believe, is the president of both companies. The fit of the poly stuff is great, but no experience on their fiberglass products.

 

I just ordered a wing from them last week. Will report back when I get it in

 

which wing did you get?

 

The Gt2 looking one. It was between that one and the Tk wing. I went with the larger and more aggressive of the two figuring it would be easy to sell it

salo, why didnt u use the betterbody front bumper? any problems?? I'm thinking of going fg techart style bumpers with skirts...havent decided on a wing yet...wings are tough on cabs

 

what does the tech art wing look like?? i sort of like the ducktail wing..but dont really want to change the entire lid.

 

betterbodies is gtiving me techart front and sides for total $1300...sounds fishy

 

I brought my wing to the body shop today to get painted and set. It is going to cost me a freaking fortune to make this thing work. Double the original paint and intall quote.

What to do now??? Ups store wants 125 dollars to ship it back. I emailed the seller Armando with no results yet

what wrong with it?? the quality or the fit issue....dude that horrible...retailers should stand by their parts.....that really burns me....good luck

 

I dont want to say much without giving them time to make this right. Especially since this is one of the first things that appears when you google "betterbodies mortorsports 996."

Edit: I spoke with the owner today and have no doubt we can get this ironed out.
