Need MKI head lights

I am thinking about modifying the MKI type head light into round/oval ones that look more like the 997's. If anyone has this older style that they'd let me have either free or cheap, please PM me. It does not matter if the light is broken and the internal parts fried or missing - I only need the housing and the electrical connection plug. I want to install brand new internal components. If this works, I'll create a list of parts and a series of pics so you can make the MOD yourself.

By the way, this will also work with MKII type headlights so let me know.

What is your plan? Cutting the plastic between main light and fog light?

I think the clear part can be remove with some heat and cutting. Then I'll cut away any housing part not pertaining to the main lamp. Then I'll use some BMW lamps and create an internal housing. After moulding a new clear polycarbonate front piece, and weather proofing the housing, I'll install. The left over space I will find a sheet metal fabricator to fill in the fender gap. I hope all this is possible - it remains to be seen.

Hey Joe. No. That link does not MOD the headlights themselves, it suggests changing the fenders, bumper AND installing new 997 headlight. I still want to do the fender and bumper change but I was thinking of MODing the headlights and use the guts off of a BMW projector lamp if possible. The BMW lamps are excellent and much cheaper than Porsche's but I believe they work the same with the same candle output. It might or might not work, that's why I am trying to do this with a disposable pair of lights.
