The sound of the exhaust

Hello guys on you tube I've seen several movies of the discharge of 996 and 997 GT3 with original exhaust. I'm trying to get the usual sound on my 996 3.6 original. The sound of the GT3 and 'very metallic, sharp, and not' low and dark as when you replace the exhaust with fabspeed, after house or Supersprint. How can I do? Replace the 100 cells coon cat ee put the final of the 996 mk 2 can be done?Put this video for you to understand the loud sound of the GT3.

Wait, you have GT3 and want to quiet it to stock, or you want to make your car sound like a gt3?

If you want to sound like a GT3, I think fabspeed muffler bypass pipes would be the best sound

Good questions Ale, I would say buy everything OEM from a GT3 including the Cats, catback, headers etc. Make a custom fit then you should have the same sound maybe very similar. Those GT3 engines are tuned too with specific internal parts this might be very hard to do and costly.

That car sounded very "stock" to me. If I were to spend any amount of money I would not want it to sound stock :P

I always wanted to know the same. How do you make a standard 996 3.6 sound like the gt3? You take a carrara and a gt3 and put bypasses pipes on them and they still sound different. Is it the cams or the complete different engine design?

A GT3 sounds so much different mostly because of the cylinder heads. The cams may make a little difference as well. The higer reving ability makes a difference as well. The stock GT3 mufflers are very simular to the stock 3.6 mufflers. You can make the 3.6 sound really good but I have never heard one sound close to a GT3.

I will try 'to change the original cat with cat 100, to see if the sound becomes more metallic. Lights come on?
