I have an 03 996 that I have had for 3 months now. Every time I would open the door, I would hear a flapping noise coming from inside the radio. I thought that it was the cd inside spinning around because power was being distributed to the radio upon unlocking and opening the door. This morning I opened the door, the noise was there, but I realized no CD was in the radio this time. I started the car turned on the radio, put in a cd, and nothing. The display states no cd, and I can not eject the cd. I push the cd button, and it states either stop, or no cd. Has anyone heard of this before??

Any info is appreciated.

I think you get a new radio under warranty. About a 5 minute job at your dealer.
