996TT vs C2 rear quarters?
I searched and couldn't find anything, but I admit I suck at searching and finding what I need.
Anyways...
Could someone tell me how much wider the 996TT front and rear fenders are compared to the C2/C2s/C4/C4s?
Also what about the GT3?
Thanks so much.
and yes I know the 996TT has intakes on the rear quarters...

do not quote me on this, but.... if I recall the 993 NB vs. 993 WB (Turbo/s) was like 3/8" on either side. F&R
On the 996, I'd guess its 1/2" or so L&R rear quarters. The fronts, don't seem too much wider, but Just from looking at them, i'd guess 1/4"-1/2" extra on each side.
Let me grab some owners manuals and Ill let you know exactly.
****Ok, here are the exact dimensions out of the Porsche Owner's Manuals.****
This is word for word from the dimensions, located right about page 245-250 in my owner's manuals. 996 (2002) C2 car and 996 (2002) Twin Turbo.
996 (Narrow Body cars)
Length: 175.9 in. / 4465 mm
Width: 69.7 in. / 1770 mm
Height: 51.4 in. / 1305 mm
Wheelbase: 92.6 in. / 2350 mm
Ground Clearance: 4.3 in. / 110 mm
Turning Circle: 34.8 ft. / 10.6 meters
996 (Wide Body Cars)
Length: 174.4 in. / 4435 mm
Width: 72.0 in. / 1830 mm
Height: 51.02 in. / 1295
Wheelbase: 92.6 in. / 2350 mm
Ground Clearance: 4.3 in. / 110 mm
Turning Circle: 34.8 in. / 10.6 meters
Hope that helps. I personally want a Black NB C2. I like tossing those longer wheels base cars around the track.
Then again, a well prepped 996tt, is one heck of a little monster.
If You need anymore info like this, or pointers... Just shoot me an e-mail.
This is all I do....

Now the 'S', Turbo, GT-2, Turbo Cab all share the same body dimensions, again with the exception of bumper covers, spoilers, etc, etc.
The 996 GT-3 is basically a C2, with some MAJOR upgrades to suspension, Aerodynamics, Trans and engine are totally different the the Non-GT cars and Turbo. (They all share the GT-1 style case)
**To sum it up. Sounds like you want to make the rear of the car wider?
What wheels, suspension, hide height are you working with. What color car and wheels?
If you get the NB car low enough, on the right set of wheels and some aero parts to set it off. You would be surprised how great it can really look.
Other then that, go grab some 996 C4S or Turbo Cabriolet rear quarters. Don't for get you'll want a bumper too. (another area to work on too)
Hope to see something like this work out. I have always wanted to see a TT rear on a GT-3.
...and no, not some salvaged POS that "wicked motors" or w/e. made 8.5 ft wide. Those things are foul as it gets.

Thanks guys. Yeah I use to own a GT3, but now thinking about getting a 996 again. Just was always curious really.
Not much of a difference between the NB and WB. Thought there would have been a bigger difference.
So there is a difference in the front fenders?

I believe the front fenders are the same, and the bumpers can be swapped between them (that is between face lift cars). The GT3 uses the C4 chassis, with a tt based block/crank, though it's obviously a different engine. Similar transaxle also.

You don't mean that the C2 and C4 share the GT-1 style case do you? Those cars have a different basic engine that is not GT-1 based.

Front fenders are the same.
