BA9S (straight across pins) bulbs, BAX9S (angled pins) bulbs
My mistake about the American spec Porsches, I really don't know which uses which. Sorry!

Do you mean Amercian spec cars in general, or American spec Porsche's?

I'm not sure about that now. I mean when I was sourcing the bulbs for my upgrade (and since I haven't found much info in the 3 forums that I'm a member of), I was positive I purchased 2 sets (1 set as spare) of straight pins and 2 sets of angled pins and I gave my indy both the straight & the angled just to be sure he's got both to complete the project (like "find out which one fits" kinda thing). Now, when I went back to my files and looked at my spares, I was just dumbfounded when I saw both sets to be angled. BTW, my car is a US-spec.

So, let's try to get this straight. Looks like several had already done this upgrade, which one did you install? The angled pin or straight pin?

In my case, I thought I was sure I had the straight pin installed, but after looking back, it is otherwise.

I don't get it...mine uses the angle pin (BAX9S)..I think my car is US spec. or is it?? how do you tell ?......could it be just the headlight unit and not the spec cars.....maybe my headlight was order from Europe..

My mistake! I was just trying to point out the different designation of bulb bases. I would just look at your current bulb and order accordingly. I just popped my light out and mine looks like a W5W (Standard Headlights)

Yours must be the non-litronics. W5W should be the same as 194. Easier to source out LEDs for this.

White. Should be around 5000k-6000k, leaning towards the latter.

hiiiii

Looks great and great info. I've changed all my interior's (5 total) to leds, side, park and plate lights also. I just went to superbrightleds and purchased all at the same time.

Can you tell us if any of those bulbs triggered the bulb out warning light?
