Soft Top Convertible Stopped working

Hi,

I have the RemoteTop and SmartTop from Wilhelmy (that will allow you to open your top with the car key) on my car. When I try to open the top from inside, I do it as usual with the button but nothing happens. No light, no sound, no click, nada ! When I get out of the car and try to open the top with the key, It will work BUT something is different. In the past, the windows used to go down and THEn the top opens up, but now, the windows does not move at all and the top goes down. Same thing when come the time to close the top, it will go up, without bringing the windows down first...

While if doing up/down from inside the car with the button, nothing happens at all.

Anyone know where I can start from ?

Thanks

Contact Wilhemy, they are very helpful and should be able to solve the problem for you.

I was actually thinking about getting a remote top for my C4S Cab., but I heard that those remote tops are finnicky in that sometimes they work, sometimes they dont. I still want to get one, but only if all these issues are no longer a problem. In short, I want a worry-free remote top. Is this possible? Or should I wait until all the bugs are fixed?

On a related note... does the remote top work like unlocking the doors? When walking up to your car... do you push one button on your Porsche key fob and the top and windows go down? Or is there a separate remote controller for the remote top?

I was also thinking about getting a remote starter. Not that I need it, but just another thing to play with... or to break if you're a pessimist, lol

I have a remoteTop waiting for installation. I like the fact that I can use my key to open/close the top, activate the alarm sensors when top is down, unlock the doors when I pull out my key, and honk the horn upon activation/deactivation of the alarm system. Now I have to watch this thread first.

I do have the smartTop and it is a huge convenience.
