Hey Guys,
I just wanted to drop a line saying I'm new to this forum. I just purchased a 1999 996 6spd Cabrio and absolutely love it. The car looks like it was in a time capsule with only 32k miles. I'm very mechanically inclined as I just changed the oil with mobil 1 0-40. However, I have one small hicup on the vehicle; it seems that the solenoid on the starter is hanging up a bit. It makes a squeel at start up but then goes away immediately. Any ideas? Maybe the starter needs replacing?

Nice! Since we're all bragging... I got my 01 C2 two months ago with 30,700 miles on the clock. But what everyone wants to know is.... how much?$?$??

Be warned, if history is any indicator there will be a whole slew of posts that warn us about our "garage bombs" and that we would have been better off getting a high mileage car because it has been put through its paces and hasn't blown up yet...

 

I bought mine about 11 months ago with 36,000 miles now she has around 50,000 miles give or take. Enjoy it cause it will be the beginning of a new love.

 

I'm getting mine tomorrow. A 2003 C4 Cab!!
