Matte black wheels vs. Gloss black wheels

Opinion requested!

I'm looking to pick up a set of mesh concave monoblock wheels with no lips.

Please give an opinion on a slate gray 996. which wheel you think would make it look snap. Gloss (piano) black vs. matte black

1 week ago, I wouldnt have even asked, and I would have ordered the matte, but this months "European Car" magazine features a 997tt in a close shade with a semi-glossy looking mesh monoblock that looks amazing.

I understand the repercussions of each - matte is harder to clean, piano is harder to keep clean.

Matte

Semi- Glossy

I have matte and I think it last longer in between cleaning than if I have gloss...at least the brake dust won't show as obvious as it is on glossy surface.

In my opinion, I think the semi-gloss looks the best. It is such a personal preference thing that I don't think you can necessarily go wrong either way.

Definitely full gloss! It dresses up an otherwise non-dressy color - black. My Lambo has full gloss black (painted from the factory) wheels and they look great!

Ok, Im set on gloss this time. I can always spray a matte clearcoat if I dont like it later...

Now the burning question- 19s that are really hot looking, or 18s that are nice an comfy, lighter, ride better, and are cheaper to put rubber on.

I'm on 18s on stock suspension now, had a lowered 996 on 19s before. Night and day difference, but the suspension is likely the main cause of difference

I'd go for the lighter 18s...
Of course the 19s look *****in, but some nice glossy 18s with suspension will turn just as many heads.

Matte Black. The choice of my wheels in my car already show this. I also went with lighter 19s of which the weight of each wheel equals to a lot of 18s (and even some 17s in the market). Also, some 19" tires are less expensive than some 18" tires.

The Oz ultras are one of the two wheels I am looking at!

Another thing about 18s is that I can swap the tires that are already on the car though (4k miles on them)

I like the semi glossy finish, but that also depends on the car colour.
if your car is close or the same as that 2nd pic then I'd go the semi gloss.

Matte is harder to clean but the semi gloss you can add a special wax coating which helps keep it cleaner longer. My friend has done it on his GTR and he has the cleanest wheels I have ever seen and there was no brake dust buildup too.

Oh and yes he does drive it.
