Another question that is on my mind today is what is the manufactured retail price on the OEM 6cd changer for 996's? What comes with it? The reason I am asking is because I am thinking about selling it. I don't need it I have an aftermarket cd/mp3/ipod player alpine system with Navi

I may be wrong, but it seems like the market for CD changers appears to be just about dead. For example, yesterday I got an email from ECS tuning offering new VW CD changers for $79.95 and refurbished ones for $39.95. The new ones used to sell for over $400.

If there was a big demand, I doubt they'd offer them so cheaply.

 

you can find them for under 100 on ebay

 

not true. i sold mine for about $300. it took a month or two to find a buyer but they are out there. Craigslist and ebay works well.

^^this is about the price i've seen them going for as well. Ours bit the dust a few months ago and we were looking at buying another one to replace it. Little did I know how much they still go for. Best wishes with the sale!

PS...Have you thought about advertising it through your local PCA? I know many of their members keep their cars stock and may be very interested in it.
