Question Side skirts - I'm confused?!

Hello...!

Just bought my first 911 (yes, I’m af p-car newbie ) - 996 3,6 targa from 2002 - and I'm starting up on doing my first mods In this connection I have a couple of questions - I hope you guys can help?!

I have bought the turbo front and the aero lip that matches - now I am looking for the best side skirt to match this look - do you guys have any recommendations? For your information I am not planning to go for the turbo rear bumper, as I am informed this can be a problem to fit properly....

I have already bought a set of C4S side skirts - but they don't seem to fit my car, total waste of money

Currently I am looking at the attached side skirt - can anyone inform me what type of skirt this is?!

Best regards,

Damborg

Those look like GT3 style skirts...probably not what you are looking for. You need the aero style skirts to match with the turbo front bumper...like these...

Thumbs up

Thank you for your quick reply...!

Can you recommend any places on the web to buy the aero style side skirts? Any experience in aftermarket aero style skirts?

Do people "mix" turbo front with GT3 skirts - or will this just look plain stupid?

Thanks in advance

If you have the 2002+ car, make sure to get the type II side skirts and not the ones displayed in the pic above which are type I. Do a search and you'll see the difference. good luck

If you have the '99-01 model, you'll want the MK1 sideskirts, 02+ for MK2 sideskirts. The pic you posted look to be MK2 sideskirts. That is if you want to remain period correct.

I'm selling OEM Mk1 Sideskirts if interested: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ic-silver.html

The C4S skirts won't fit because your car isn't wide-body. You can only put narrow body side skirts on the car.

Those are MKII and that's a GT3 so they're MKII GT3 skirts which are specific to that car.
