Maxspeed has the REP GT3 buckets but not the folding seats shown in the pics. I want these for my street car so I am not to concerned about FIA cert. Thanks.

I think that is a 997 seat? Someone was offering them as replica's a while ago. Maybe ask Suncoast?

Looks like a 996 GT3 replica seat to me...I'd be interested in knowing about that folding option as well...

I saw these on e-bay a while back. Item #170414479396. They appear to be a GT3 folding style seat. The seller is in the UK.

Someone needs to do a group buy on these and bring them over in a container. Always wanted GT3 seats but needed a reclining seat due to fitting kids in the back. With these I have no excuse...

As far as FIA approval, I don't know of any reclining seats that are FIA approved. Only the fixed backs are approved as reclining gears can always strip in an accident.

Pics of seat? If it's the one I'm thinking of, they were able to get FIA approval because it is only forward reclining which is what the harness/seat belts help out with. But there is nothing preventing your body from going backwards in a rearward crash for rearward reclining seats with gears.

If this is indeed a forward AND rearward reclining geared seat then kudos to the engineers.

EDIT: I guess I should've stated I've never seen a REARWARD reclining FIA approved seat.

Those were the ones I was thinking of which are only forward reclining but nonetheless very nice engineering to get around the FIA issue and still be able to access the rear.

Easy for you blokes over there.

I think shipping these individually to the states would be cost prohibitive. It would be more cost effective if we could ship these over in one big container with a group buy or something.

As a word of warning, they're not for the 'larger' guy. I have the non-folding version and they're alot narrower than the stock GT3 seats.
