Help With Engine Plate Install

Seems as though all the searches I do on this subject has comments that it was a five minute job.
Hmmm...
I guess I'm not that mechanically inclined!
On my 02 I pulled the three bolts out per instructions.
However, my question is do you install the tray tabs OVER the hose clamps or UNDER them? Also, if you install under the clamps do you need to shave the tray tabs so that they'll fit better?
On the front installation point, there's a hose that runs across the front of the engine. Do you just "make" it fit? In this situation I'm assuming you mount the tray over (on top) the hose clamp?
Any advice/comments are appreciated!

I remember having to tap into the engine cover so the cover would not rattle.

i got mine today from suncoast porsche i put it over the top of all the pipe clamps. i had to grind the two side tabs just a small amount above the hole. the back hole i installed a rubber gromit where it rests on the block. i gave it a little bow from front to back so it will not hit the oil pan at all
