Are wheel adapters safe?

I have the 18x7.5 +50 18x10 +65 BBS Classic II Optional for Porsche. The wheels are in about 1-1/2 to 2" I would like to throw in wheel adapter but curious of the outcome, stability, durability. How much of a thickness would I need?

hubcentric with longer bolts and you should be fine.
7mm in the front and 15mm in the back will look good.

Do you think 15mm is enough on the rear? Do you have a picture sample? Thanks by the way.
