Help.. In-dash Spoiler (Tail) Switch Mod

OK, I guess I did something wrong and need advice..I was modifying so that I can have the rear tail switch on dash. I removed the plug from the back of the existing switch in fuse box, cut the three wires and tapped in a new cable to run to the dash. Now neither of the switches work. I have checked the fuse (D column 7 fuse) and all is ok. I disconnected the new switch and tried the old old and I do not get any movement of the wing.

Any idea what I did wrong

Mestyan,
Are you sure you have the wires are back where they started when you tested just the original switch on its own?
