Will my car pass smog (here in CA) with bypass mufflers? Not the full exhaust. Just the bypass elbow pipes muffler tips.

not likely...if your car is as loud as mine was when I had bypass pipes on it a quick look by the tech and he will see the mufflers have been removed and it won't pass the visual even though it would probably pass the sniffer....takes 15 minutes to put the stock mufflers back on so I wouldn't risk it..if it fails the visual you will then probably have to take it to a referee

I have a fraspeed header and exhaust with bypass and it is crazy loud. I don't know how you would even pass just by the amount of noise it makes.

Not likely.

We have very strict emissions laws in California. If you're looking to increase sound, you can always replace just the mufflers. That's as far as you can go in California without fearing the possibility of visiting a Smog Ref.
