Steering wheel removal part 2

Still trying to remove the steering wheel and I’ve gotten as far as loosening the nut indicated with the arrows. After giving the nut a few turns so there is some space in the threads, the next step is to pull the steering wheel out a bit. But it won’t budge. What am I missing? Anyone know why it won’t come out?

Nice! Really though? I thought it was suppose to come off with a bit of force and I have really pulled it with some serious effort.

Don't know what to tell you as mine just pulled right off too. It's not a tapered fit...

Muscle it dude... that's why you leave the nut on.
hard to budge at first, and without the nut can totally whack yourself when it finally frees up.

Got it last night after I muscled it. LOL But, I took the nut off first and I think it got scared and just came right off when it saw I was intent on kicking its a*s*s.
