Testing Decklid/Rear Fan..

Had a new wing installed and out goes the stock mechanical one..

Just wanted to make sure my fan still works, everything is plugged in but I never really paid attention to when the fan goes on and off, is there a way to manually test?

Drove the car fairly hard , put it in garage , went out a few times and fan wasnt on...I figured it would go on after being parked..?

I believe the fan kicks on when the engine hits over 220 deg. One time I drove my c4s for about half hour and up to 100+. When I got back to the garage the car sat in the sun and the fan came on about 10 after I parked. Kinda freaked me out as I just got mine and did not expect the fan to kick on. I do not know the exact temp through.

I was once going to ask the same question, and then one day i drove around for a while maybe like 30mins and i parked and locked the car. Waited and no fan came on. Then i unlocked the car, turned the key to the point to where the lights on the dash come on and it does the 5sec oil read, and then the fan came on.

See if that works

just park the car in the sun and let it idle after a short drive. watch the temp gauge to make sure it doesnt get too high. and get out and watch the fan. or you can manually put 12v to it if you want to test the motor by itself.
