the 2001 models center console are different right? would this fit on a 2001 tt?? what kind of modification would be needed to adapt to his one you'r e selling?

fdb....should have Midnight in very shortly.

msb....I believe this will fit all 996's from '01 to '05. No mods.

 

Eric I am little confused on your part. On the stock carbon fiber piece, the sides are removable but not the top. So does your piece just overlay the original stock top piece, and you remove the two stock pieces on each side right and left? Also the factory carbon fiber center piece has carbon below the vent and on the bottom of the whole console as well.

 

I believe prior to 2002, their were multiple pieces, from 2002 afterwards 1 piece.

 

yup i was right 2001 has 3 pieces, one being the top and the two sides. just disassembled mine to make sure.

 

If you have the 3-piece, we can do that too. No sweat.

I'll get cracking on it if there is interest, just let me know.

 

The multi-piece issue is year-dependent. Problem is the Porsche parts info is pathetically weak and often has wrong year info.

But we can sort that out, no problem.

On the factory pieces, you may be referring to the horizontal pieces/bars that run from side to side. If you were doing an entire interior in carbon, you might go that route. This is clean and makes a nice statement as is.

But again, we can do any interior part like this, so it's just a matter of time and interest.

Ahh I get it now. Ok so you piece is for 2002 cars and above. Problem is I have a 1999, so I was confused on your part.
