From Muffler bypass to Muffler bypass PLUS Cat bypass. IS IT NOTICEABLY LOUDER?

Quick question guys. I'm running a muffler bypass and I'm thinking about putting a Cat bypass as well. My question is, will it be noticeably louder? Or will it be close as the muffler bypass sound? Thanks guys!

go to fabspeeds website....they have a video of a 996 "race car". It starts with muffler bypass and they add cat bypass and they also dyno the car. As much as I like loud...I don't know how you're going to run it on the street

I like loud as well. Because when I bought this it was all stock. It was too quiet for a Porsche. So I added a muffler bypass. Now I want it louder. We'll see how loud it is. If it's too loud for me I'll combine it with my stock mufflers.

I'm not worried about not passing smog or too loud for the cops. I live half a mile from the Police station and Army base. I've ran cars with no cats in years. So it's not new to me. Just the fact that the noise level might be high.

BTW I saw that Fabspeed video 996 race car. The difference is ridiculous. I want that. In fact it's on the way here. I just ordered it.

Yeah....but exhaust going thru turbos is greatly toned down.

Totally different on a NA car.

My car has 200 cell cats and it was significantly louder with the Afterhours Exhaust than Cattmans stockers in our exhaust tests.

Bypass pipes and no cats would be brutal....IMO.

That does sound pretty damn mean with both bypass pipes on. Make sure you take a video when you get them on.

remember this is a 996 thread. Most of Fabspeeds videos are 997 N/A cars. Make sure you're listening /watching a 996 car.
