spark plug change

does my engine need to be dropped to change spark plugs?

You do not have to drop the engine for spark plugs/coilpacks. I'd remove the mufflers though. It's so much easier with the mufflers out of the way and it only takes an addition 30 min to drop the cans.

while you're in there, replace the spark plug tube O-rings and take a good look at the coils. I replaced mine with the new 997 part number, got them off a seller on ebay for ~$225 - MY99 with 105k Miles.

link? i have muffler bypass pipes currently installed, so maybe i'll do my spark plug change before i put my PSE hack muffler in..

I thought the mk2's didn't have tubes and o rings?

i have a 996 mk2 (2002 c2), and i'm about to do spark plugs.

I bought 6 spark plugs, and 2 beru coil-packs.

I was advised to buy 2 because apparently the 2 nearest the hottest location of the engine always crack.

Before I attempt this, do I need anything aside from the 6 spark plugs and 2 coil-packs?

i meant nearest to the hottest part of the engine. no more drinking + 6speedonline
