Hey guys can you please recommend a good shop with knowlegable mechanics who are porsche heads in San Fran for me to get a porsche ppi'd at..Thanks in advance..The car is at a dealer near pacifica, so needs to be NEAR PACIFICA please Thanks

Theres a place down south bay in Sunnyvale that are Porsche mechanic I believe it rmg talk to bob.. He did the ppi on my previous boxster very thorough... Pricey though.. I believe I paid $250 but he was highly recommended by Lauren from renntech..

This is probably the closest you might find to Pacifica. Talk to Jimmy here. He is the owner and has a sweet 550hp 993TT. He did a lot of work on my old 996TT when I had it.

Thank you. i'll give them a call ..hope they are affordable,and do compression and leakdown and if there is anything else you would recommend thats special i have them do let me know plz...I also want a shop that doesn't "Talk too much" i'm buying the car from a Dealer "auto broker" in the area and trying to get a good deal, dont wan the PPI person to butt into the deal! lol

 

It's a bit far from San Rafael too. I researched reliable Porsche shops, and Bauer's was recommended as one of the best in Northern California. Brian is very thorough with his inspection. He is aware of the RMS and IMS issues. And, he will inform you of even the slightest oil or coolant leaks. The PPI pricepoint is high, but worth the piece of mind. Good luck.
