Question about LSD.

Hey guys... Just wanted to know if all of 996 Carrera 4 came with LSD or was it an option, I want to do transmission fluid change and i want to make sure i use the right type of fluid. Mine is a 2003 and this is the vin decoder info i recieve thanks to Shawn Layne
from Suncoastparts.com I tried doing a search for the gearbox code but not much comes up. Thanks in advance

I could be wrong, but I don't think any 996 had LSD... maybe the GT2 or GT3 had it?

Wait, I think maybe it was available on 99 model year, but after that they went to the traction control to do the same/similar job as the LSD.

You would be correct. I thought a read factory fluid works with both LSD and Non-LSD.

Ahmet is infamous around these parts
It was standard in the 40th anniversary, GT2, GT3 and optional on the 1999 C2, otherwise unavailable in every 996.
