New Toy!!!
Just don't get caught by the popo while you have it running and doing triple digits. They will probably confiscate it for evidence against you. It has happened many times to all these guys doing runs with it.
I'll make sure to run it in ultra slow motion playback mode
I've used mine in unanticipated ways:
Underwater: Cedar River Salmon
The end of the yearly salmon run near Seattle.

In the air: a flight in a sailplane

It's great to be able to upload an HD version so you can watch it full screen and still have a clear image....although several people noted they had to use a lower resolution because their connection wasn't fast enough to give them a smooth feed.

I have used Vegas, Pinnacle, Adobe Premier Elements & Creative Power Producer.
It's been a while since Vegas & Pinnacle - but I switched from their early versions to a similar vintage Creative as it had better features. I was pleased with it.
Hadn't updated it in quite a while. Based on high ratings in magazines, bought Adobe Premier Elements. Even on a PC built with video editing in mind and had relatively little software on it, it was slow, tended to crash and I found the interface so obtuse and difficult to use, got rid of it.
Replaced it with the current version of Creative's Power Director. MUCH better. Faster. Less prone to crashing. Seems to make better use of the PC's resources. The interface is so much more intuitive (to me) it's not funny.
All of the major ones are probably good programs. Part of it is getting one with an interface that makes sense to you, has the features you want and appropriate for your PC's processing power. Most of the companies offer free trial downloads. That would be a good place to start. Just because one person doesn't make friends with a program doesn't mean it won't seem fantastic to the next.

Great camera! I picked one up a while back and love the thing. Only problem is I need more chances to use it...

Sounds like PowerDirector is the way to go.
Thanks!
