All it does is modify the signals from the gas pedal, so nothing is getting strained or in need of tuning.

As long as you know its not really doing anything, I love them. Have them on my s5 as well. It feels great, and if anyone else drives it, they ooh and ahh with the "power" of the car...clever toy/gimmick. I approve of them!
