lol if my budget would let me there would be many cars in my garage lol.

Oh the women will always be jealous of the car. My girl is. At the same time though she loves going for rides in it. She doesn't understand the car for what it is. She jut loves the prestige!

All is well...

...yes... for the present. Very clever.

But, that said, we will save the mods the hassle of a name change.

May return to the P-car fold in the not-too-distant future.

I traded in my 06 C230 sport for my 996. I bought it new and it was a great car, drove it for 65k miles.. and I have to say, it was every bit as expensive to maintain. one thing to watch out for is the swaybar links, they go bad constantly, and you will go through tires just as fast with the benz due to the staggerd wheels, same with brakes. Nice ride though, I miss mine sometimes, would be nice to have both, but I drive a 4 runner daily and didn't need 2 cars as well.

...has fresh brakes, new tires & I will watch for the swaybar links failure.

I appreciate the FYI as I am in the early learning curve on the C-class.

Won't mind maintenance so much on it as I owe 2/3rds less than I did on the P-car.

Will be paid in full by fall 2011. Ownership... priceless.

...the weather is absolute cr*p at present...

It sounds super at high revs... but, been mainly cruising carefully (holiday traffic).

Yes it has the HK stereo. Absolutely awesome ! Best factory stereo yet !

Never thought I would say this, but I love the rear electric sunscreen !

Can't write that on the screen though. There's actually a Texas law prohibiting it.

Arrow I've...

...done that... .

Getting far less tailgaters than with the 996 though. A good thing.

Thing I have been watching for closely is parking turtles... Low ft. spoiler !

Yes... I "sold"... But, IMHO, I really did not "downgrade"...

The new ride is an upgrade as more cash is available to me at the end of the day.

To me that's a win-win situation (It would have been awhile before the P-car was paid-off).

I admit I miss the 911. Perhaps one day soon I'll own one again.

the only thing that is hard to replace will be the performance in your 911 cause a C230 can't compare acceleration wise and handling, other than those are sharp cars. I almost bought a 2004 SL500 hardtop convertible nice but more of a cruiser then hardcore sports car.
