Guys with supercharger or turbo kit....

Im curious to know what are some of the fastest cars youve run into and have beat. I was thinking today having a p-car with 450-500whp and sitting around 2900lbs has got to move. Just wondering what you guys stack up against.

I suspect the typical street 996.2 C2 6 speed coupe is between around 3300-3400+ with a driver and gas. C4/Turbo would be a bit more. [Minus driver, and you are still around 3100]. A car on a diet would still be around 3000.

My car (3050 with gas and no driver) dyno'd at 373 RWHP, which is approaching the numbers you suggested. I've got video passing R8s, GTRs, E9X M3s, Z06s, and a few others - on the track of course. Oh, and I don't have forced induction

I was just going off numbers ive seen on spec sheets and dyno vids.

I said 2900 because alot of people ive notice replace the stock seats with lighter gt3 seats or something else, lighter wheels, no spare etc etc. Also i keep forgetting 90% the world weighs more than me. (135lbs....wet lol)

I have an 02 C4S with VF SC plus other goodies and lighteners and wt is 3360. I gained a full sec. in the 1/4 mile (5000ft ele) and beat a modded C6 vette (by a nose) at our local drag strip. The car dynoed 411 at wheels by Evoms. Everyone will tell you to get a turbo including me but if you like your car and plan to keep it you will love the SC. Will

Exactly what I went through. Love the idea of a Turbo, but I didn't like running the numbers and giving my car away. Plus I like mine, so invested in the SC and exhaust...

I personally prefer a SC over a Turbo kit, but with the current TPC price it is tempting for sure. Only thing is its newer on the market so may be some new install jitters to go through...

Cheers
Aaron

I think he meant by the twin turbo version of the 996 unless you really like your current car then supercharge it instead... but just a guess.

Also remember there is a HUGE difference between Mustang Dyno's and DynoJet Dyno's. The DynoJet is about 15% off of true horsepower. The Mustang Dyno is more accurate. So these guys who dyno 411hp on a DynoJet will only dyno @380hp on a Mustang Dyno.
